Safety and Risk Management

We are committed to safeguarding children and young people in our care and ensuring they feel and are safe at all times. As part of our commitment to child safety all our staff undertake the Australian Childhood Foundations ‘Safeguarding Children’ training program as well as in-house training programs. Feathertop Chalet takes safety and risk management seriously. For a summary of our Risk Assessments please contact our office.

ANAPHYLAXIS AND ALLERGIES

Feathertop Chalet requires notification of all allergies, relevant health issues and dietary requirements. Please ensure you can provide us with a copy of participants management plans including asthma management and anaphylaxis action plans and details of any other health issues prior to your arrival.

FIRE MANAGEMENT

  • Emergency procedure notices are posted throughout Feathertop Chalet and guests should make themselves familiar with procedures and locations of equipment.
  • Extinguishers, fire hoses and smoke detectors must not be tampered with or removed.
  • No fire or BBQ may be lit on the property without the consent of Feathertop Chalet staff.
  • Fire restriction notices and Total Fire Ban Days must be strictly observed.
  • If a Code Red Day occurs during your stay the procedures detailed in the Feathertop Chalet​
  • Emergency Management Plan must be followed.
