Go back in history at the museum and search for gold in the rivers. See if you can strike rich.
High Ropes
Work with your ground crew to negotiate a series of obstacles and challenges. You will need teamwork and communication to make it to the end.
Hiking
From day walks to multiday hikes, we have you covered. As the Chalet is located at the base of Mount Feathertop, Feathertop Chalet is the perfect location to start and or finish a hike. Why not add Mt Feathertop- Razorback hike to your next school camp? This is one of Australia’s best hikes with epic views across the High Plains.
Hut Building
Work as a team to build a shelter to protect your group from the often quickly changing Alpine environment.
Initiatives Activities
Puzzle-solving, decision-making and teamwork are required in order to accomplish a range of fun tasks.
Kayaking
Learn and develop paddling techniques, teamwork and communication skills using a combination of games and instruction.
Leap of Faith
Climb a six metre pole belayed by your team mates before trusting in them to make the dive for the trapeze bar.
Low Ropes
Combine slack lining with a built in obstacle course through the trees. Don’t worry if you wobble, your spotters will be looking out for you.
Mini Golf
Our mini golf course, for beginners and experts has proven to provide hours of entertainment.
Mountain Biking
Practice the basics before heading off-road on a tour of the Ovens River and state forests.

Outdoor Education Programs
Feathertop Chalet delivers Outdoor Education and specialise in school programs in the High Country. We run outdoor education and activities for schools, community groups and families. These programs provide an opportunity to explore our environment as a team. Tobogganing
The Mt Hotham toboggan and snowplay area is the ideal location to throw a snowball, make a snowman and hit the toboggan slope for some good times! The moderate toboggan slope is suited to kids of all ages.
Trebuchet
When team building, science and history combine into one awesome activity. Every student will participate in building a Trebuchet as a team under supervision of one of instructors. Once built they will launch bean bags, balls and other soft object towards a target.
Trout Fishing
We can link your group with a trout fishing experience only 4 minutes drive from Feathertop Chalet.
White Water Rafting/Kayaking
With an abundance of rivers within a short drive, white water rafting can easily be added to your next Victorian School Camp. The Ovens River, King River, Buckland River and Mitta Mitta River are our local favourites, each river is guaranteed to deliver an amazing experience for your students on their next school camp.
