ANAPHYLAXIS AND ALLERGIES

Feathertop Chalet requires notification of all allergies, relevant health issues and dietary requirements. Please ensure you can provide us with a copy of participants management plans including asthma management and anaphylaxis action plans and details of any other health issues prior to your arrival.

While we have first-aid trained staff and an on-site defibrillator, First Aid remains the responsibility of the group co-ordinator.

FIRE MANAGEMENT

Feathertop Chalet has emergency procedures in place for fire management. Guests should be aware of equipment and procedures, and observe fire restrictions and Total Fire Ban Days. Consent from staff is required to light fires or BBQs. In the event of a Code Red Day, the Emergency Management Plan must be followed.

Important Fire Management Info

Emergency procedure notices are posted throughout Feathertop Chalet and guests should make themselves familiar with procedures and locations of equipment.

Extinguishers, fire hoses and smoke detectors must not be tampered with or removed.

No fire or BBQ may be lit on the property without the consent of Feathertop Chalet staff. Fire restriction notices and Total Fire Ban Days must be strictly observed.

If a Code Red Day occurs during your stay, the procedures detailed in the Feathertop ChaletEmergency Management Plan must be followed.

CATERING

We offer hearty meals with breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper provided for our catered groups. Fresh fruit, from the local orchards, is available as a healthy way to build up energy levels at any time of day. Coffee & tea making facilities are provided in the lodges.

Planning to explore the Alpine National Park or heading up to Mt Hotham for a day of skiing? With notice, we can prepare hot or cold packed lunches and morning and afternoon teas for your group.

Important

It is important to note that while Feathertop Chalet maintains a nut-free kitchen and maintains adherence to dietary codes we do ask guests with medical dietary requirements to ensure they have a current risk management plan in place and provide us with a copy. Participants should ensure they introduce themselves to our catering staff to further discuss their requirements.
